Wow a whole week has already flown by...What have we been up to...hmmm we had a bought of colds go through the house, Kirk and I were able to sneak away to Banff for a night for his Christmas party, it was a late night but a great party AND we got to sleep in! Today we were suppose to have shots but instead Leah started throwing up and has since barfed about 10 times...she's napping now and I am hoping that the flu ends with her, but I highly doubt we'll be that lucky!!
These crazy little babies are BUSY! They are into everything and I find my days entertaining and redirecting their efforts to get into trouble...I have given up on a few things like their love of pulling stuff off the shelves in the pantry...It happens multiple times a day and its just somehow become a part of the routine, along with emptying their plastics cabinets, the tea towel drawer, the dvd drawer and their big buckets of toys.
Alyssa had been begging me to do some baking so during nap time one morning we hammered out about 5 dozen peanut butter-hershey kiss cookies!
I think she is more domesticated than me!!
Best picure I could get of fast babies on the move, I was trying to capture their matching Superman and Supergirl shirts they got for their birthday...
Blake has been such a nut lately...he is furniture surfing all over and is now walking around with his little cart and pushing anything he thinks should move, all the while sticking his tongue out...funny thing is his Daddy does the same thing when he's concentrating!
He also has this crazy face he makes scrunching up his nose and smiling his 4 little teeth. He loves the few little cars we have around the house, he will make anything drive and push it along the floor complete with noises...
Leah, oh Leah...our once crowned angel has certainly had a change of personality. Kirk and I have looked at each other with wide eyes, we know we are in trouble with this one! She has quite the little temper these days and if she doesn`t get her way she will throw herself on the floor into fully body tantrums..she has bruises all along her forehead from banging her head on the floor...
She is quite the little smarty pants though, she`s taken a lot longer in the physical aspect but her social-verbal skills are impressive!! She says mulitple words...Hi, Baby, Daddy, Mama, Papa, Bubby (which we call their bottles), she also trys to say a lot of words she usually gets the first letter Right...For Peak (a-boo) she Says Peee, She`s close on Bye Bye, same for balloon. She has also been doing some Sign language, she signs milk on a very regular basis and we are working on some others...Yesterday she signed for milk and said Bubby (her bottle) at the same time...of course it was her nap time so she really did want her milk. She talks gibberish just like Alyssa used to, she really sounds like she`s trying to tell you a story and I think one day she`ll just start talking in sentences like Alyssa did.
Alyssa is hilarious, she has always been a neat freak...doesn`t like dirty hands or face, she folds her clothes ever so perfect and she takes a long time to color a meticulous picture and will only line up stickers in a perfect row, don`t ever ask her to finger paint, its not going to happen. The other day she was so annoyed that the floor was too crumby and on her own got our little vaccum out because she couldn`t take the mess anymore...HAHA
We FINALLY got to go watch Alyssa at her Ballet class. She`s been their since September and they`ve never let us watch her, we've questioned what they heck they did in there since she`s only ever shown us `Hop Step`.
The actually did quite a lot we`ve never seen before, it was super cute to watch her.
She loved every minute of it!
The poor girl however seems to have inherited my lack of flexibility...
They even had a little routine to music...So cute!
Alyssa has been making some tags for Christmas presents and doing her Christmas Cards. Her spelling is really taking off, she often surprises me when I see what she`s done, like this random spelling of Dad, ever so perfect...
The 3 amigos...
We took the baby gate down around the tree, its mostly been good but curious george occassionally pulls off an `instrument` as Alyssa calls them..She gets so mad at him and quickly carries him away.
See the look of trouble in his eyes!
Ok, thats it...wish us luck that we don`t all end up with the flu!
