Calling it...kind of!

Ok, I think I'm going to call it...Leah can walk! We have been on the fence for days, the thing is she can walk 7-8 steps if she wants to she just doesn't really want to...She has this funny monkey crawl/bum scoot thing that is super fast...I think when she is going to find trouble, she just wants the fastest way there...If it was the other 2 I would have called it official, so I'm calling it...who knows how long she'll prefer to monkey crawl...I really should get it on video before she stops doing it, its rather hilarious.

Also this past week she has had 3 teeth break through, one on either side of her 2 top front teeth and 1 back molar...I am hoping this combined with a runny nose and cough explains her mood, and that she is not really the handful she has been the past week! We've had to start doing little mini time outs with her aggressive behaviour. She is still hiting and scratching a lot, and constantly pulling Alyssa's hair, this week she has also adding in biting...Poor Blake has constant bruises on his ears and this week she is going for anything else, fingers, toes, arms...you name it...she left a bruise of teeth marks on Alyssa's arm the other day too. She doesn't get the time out bit yet, but I'm sure soon enough she'll put it together.

Nothing else really news worthy, just waiting waiting waiting for Spring to show up and all this snow to melt...I surprisingly didn't take a single picture this last week...So here are some rather dull videos instead!

WE'RE EXPECTING AGAIN!!!

I know, I know it's crazy isn't it? I can't believe it myself. I wasn't going to put it on here because it's obvious but wanted to make it official. I mean who would have guessed that we are expecting AGAIN!! It's official we are expecting Snow AGAIN today and tomorrow!! 5-10cms overnight!

Hahaha I saw this as someone's Facebook Status and thought it was hilarious, and sadly yes we are expected more stinking snow, not a baby :)

Not much new to report around here, just some new pictures to share...Happy Wednesday!

This whole walking thing has really been tuckering the little guy out...he's falling asleep in random places around the house...Leah is close behind, she took 4-5 steps today and I am *this* close to calling it official...

I love bath pictures they are such classics to look back on...

Alyssa had her friend Joy over from school. Alyssa is 4 days older than Joy.

I'm not sure if Joy is extra tall or Alyssa is extra short...Hmmm

Joy is full of energy, it was an exhausting 3.5 hour playdate, we played with literally every single thing we own, and had an injury to boot...Joy just lives down the street, I have a feeling we'll be in for some more tiring playdates over the summer!

Blake will often come over with a book and want you to read to him...Leah only got in on the action because Blake was getting attention from her Beloved Daddy...

Friday Funny

This made me laugh...Why you ask? Because this is me every single day...I am a coffee addict and its true, my absent mindness just happens at a faster speed. So fast I don't even catch my errors until much later...The whole block of cheese in the pantry, or the milk being poured into the coffee machine instead of water for the 2nd pot of coffee...Juice in Alyssa's oatmeal. Give me a Starbucks Venti Americano and witness the insanity for yourself!!

Speaking of coffee and therefore mornings, I shall add 2nd day into my "new mornings", and I have failed miserably.
Day 1 started at 8:07am with Leah crying in the monitor...Shucks...messed up the first day...(but Oscar was up twice and the babies once so it was a bad sleep)

Day 2 started when Leah woke up for the day at 7am...7AM...How was I suppose to know she'd be up an hour earlier than normal??

I won't even pretend for 1 second I'll be getting up early Saturday or Sunday...
I guess there's always Monday!

Excuses...

How long do you suppose I can use the excuse "I have baby twins"? I use this excuse on a daily basis when talking to myself (did I just write that?) I need a kick in the butt with some motivation, and I'm guessing that one can only use that excuse for so long. Of course when dealing with myself, I'm easily persuaded to use that excuse and let myself off the hook...I still get up with the twins once a night for an early morning bottle (gasp! Yes they still have bottles), I often get up in the night to let the dog out, not to mention I am a light sleeper and spend many hours flipping and flopping in my bed trying to fall asleep...We also stay up way too late...so you see, those reasons are justifiable as to why I have trouble getting up in the morning. I wake up the moment one of my kids wakes up, and not a minute sooner...Some days its 8am some days 9am, but I never on my own accord get up before that...

As much as I like sleeping in, I hate the mood it sets for the rest of the day...I've ruined any chance at a morning shower, exercise or quietly checking my emails while sipping on a nice hot coffee...Sounds so nice and everynight I swear that tomorrow will be the day...I will wake up 1 hour before the kids, work out, shower and enjoy my coffee in peace...But as mentioned above I'm an easy sell to sleep in, and I talk myself out of it every single morning with the excuse I have baby twins, I need the sleep...

Well people, excuse over...I do have baby twins but they go to bed at 8pm..Me? Midnight or later, so really can I use that as an excuse? I think not, perhaps if I went to bed earlier it wouldn't be such a problem. Perhaps if I fit in some morning exercise I'd have more energy through the day to get stuff done...and maybe have a better restful sleep at night.

Now that its almost spring, I need to wake the heck up, or I'll be using this excuse until they move out. I thought writing this here would make me more accountable, not that anyone cares but maybe in the morning I'll remember the promise to myself...

Nothing terribly exciting the past week...Another 21cm dump of snow over the weekend! Thats a lot of freaking snow! Now fingers crossed thats the last of it.

 It thankfully stopped after 24 hours and the sun came out and our yard is almost bare again...Not before we went outside and made a Princess Belle Snowlady and the beast!

  Nothing to say about this one, I just liked it...

 Blake is now walking Full time, I still get surprise when he comes walking around the corner...

Leah is pretty close to walking too, I give her another week...She does have a love of climbing and crawling on anything she can get on...

 This little girl is a full time job on her own right now!! She seeks out all sorts of trouble! 

 Kirks parents have gone back home after 5 months of house sitting...
they will be missed greatly!

My parents are in Phoenix this week and we have 2 extra little critters with us...

 These little guys don't get that much loving these days,
but they will never forget when meal time is...

We have a bouncy house in our basement, and these crazy kids love love jumping and rolling around in there..Its so sweet that the 3 of them can actually play together now..LOVE IT!
