Camping at Calaway

Alyssa has been saying all year how she wishes she could go camping...so we bit the bullet and took her camping..kind of!! We took the trailer out about 20 minutes from our house to Calaway Park...she was so excited and had such a great time..it was quite a bit of work to un-winterize it and pack it all up with sheets, blankets and everything else that you need for the first trip of the season...but our little girl was so happy it certainly made it all worth it...

One night after Kirk was done work we grabbed some KFC, the trailer and went and set it all up...Momma and Papa stayed with the babies...We didn't stay that night because Kirk had to work the next day but at least it was all set up so when we got there the following night we didn't have to waste anytime with the set up...

We BBQ'd (Oh Kirky!), went for a bike ride and of course we went to the little store for Ice Cream...Kirk and Alyssa stayed that night together and I went home at bed time to spent the night at home with the babies...Once again Momma and Papa did our babysitting for the evening...

This was a flash forward to 10 years down the road...Alyssa relaxing while chatting on her cell phone and browing through a book...She was having quite the pretend conversation...

The next morning I came back, and Gunkle, Sophie and Gabe joined us and we headed out for a day at Calaway Park...

The girls has so much fun, as did the rest of us..This was by far Alyssa's favorite ride and we all went in it mulitple times...You spin the wheel and the faster you spin the faster it goes, not only that but it goes way up inthe air and tilts on its side...I am surprised she likes this ride, but she just cracked up the whole time.

Aww best friends..

It looks like Alyssa is wearing the same dress since the beginning of the trip, yes she did, infact I think it was 4 days straight before I convinced her it was time to be washed...

It was so nice to be able to spoil her and have some good one on one time..

We enjoyed it as much as she did...

Her favorite was the Cotton Candy she tried for the first time...

Kirk and Alyssa stayed over that night too, and the trip ending off with a trip to Denny's for the standard Saturday morning pancakes with Daddy...Mmm!
