Summer Days...

These Summer Days are just cruising on by...which is my only reason for not posting much lately...the truth is, I just haven't felt like it and at the end of a long day the last thing I feel like doing is being stuck infront of a computer...so instead, I'm sitting outside with a book, or by the fire, or going to bed so we can do it all again tomorrow...

There isn't much news worthy to report, most of our days are variations of the same...Pool, walks, parks, playing in the sandox, fires...

These long playful days outside are exhausting!!
I found Alyssa had snuck into Blake's bed to hold him while he slept...
A special treat for our Big Kid...
A nice fire...
...and S'mores!!!
I have a whole lot of pictures from this weekend,
and a nice family BBQ with some of my cousins...I'll get around to that soon :)

Happy Summer!!

Happy of the Day!

My entire family is cheering today, my Grandpa will be coming home on Friday...the day before his 84th Birthday!! He has been in the hospital for 12 long weeks after a blood infection that almost took his life...Its been a long slow recovery and thankfully he is now well enough to come home...I'm sure my Grandma will be happy to have him back...they have been married for 62 years and never spent so long apart...
YAH GRANDPA!!!!!

PS I'll be back with more updates later...we've been enjoying summer and that leaves no time to blog!

Canada Day

Happy Canada Day!!!

We had a great time Friday for Canada day...We headed downtown to Prince's Island Park...There was lots of neat things going on, live music, Street Buskers tap dancing and playing weird instruments...clown and Balloon Artists...
Everyone was very well behaved and they didn't even try and run away from us,
which is what I thought would happend
Daddy and the Babies stopping for a break...
...and a fight...
...I don't think Blake won
We brought a picnic and had lunch right in the middle of the action
Alyssa was pretty excited this year to celebrate Canada Day, since she knows she lives in Canada...I've overheard her before telling her friends that she lives in Canada...
She carried around her little Flag and was proud to wave it all about...
Momma and her monkies...

Despite the freezing cold water Alyssa still wanted to go into the wading pool...She wasn't in their long but it was still cute to watch her jumping around...
We let the babies stand in the water, but of course they both fell so their were stripped to their diapers and jackets for the ride home...
 Our makeshift Change room...
We Stopped for Cotton Candy...

...and the babies enjoyed their very own Ice cream cone
Blake preferred to eat his from the bottom...

We had a great day!!

Cars & Trucks & Babies...

So finally yesterday the babies had shots and we got to weigh them...I've been curious to see their accurate weights...We were there for their 18 month shots, they were back logged so it was the soonest they could get us in...For the first time in history of me taking any of the 3 for shots, neither of them cried!! It was so strange...Leah had a huge pout and 1 little tear but they did great! Their Stats at almost 20 months are: Remember Girls & Boys have different charts for the Pecentages

Leah: 21 pounds 9oz - Which is just over 10% on the charts for Girls weight
30.75" tall - Which is just under 10% for Girls length

Blake: 21 pounds 8oz - This puts Blake's weight not even on the charts
31" tall - He is about 5% on the boys chart for height

So there you have it! I have tiny little peanuts still...I'm not at all surprised either that Leah has once again Leap frogged his weight, she can really pack it back and eats WAY more than Blake, he's not really that picky, just doesn't eat as much as Leah...

Recently these two have really shown their gender preference for their Toys...We have ample of Boy, Girl as well as gender neutral toys in our house...but they have started to really show interest in Gender specific things...Leah is all about her babies, she hugs them and loves them and strolls them...She talks to them and carries them everywhere...The boy on the other hand loves his cars and trucks and trains and anything electronic that has a button or flashing light on it...Its pretty adorable to see them be so attached to their favorite toys...This past weekend we took them to Toys R Us and let them pick out whatever (within reason) they really loved...Leah got a pink talking baby, and Blake got a Tow Truck pulling a Red sports car...complete with a lot of really loud sounds...

"Eeeeze!"
Blakes truck always come complete with sounds effects...

Watching Thomas the Train, with his Thomas the Train...

The Big kid got a baseball glove and some soft baseballs..She was eager to try it, she did fairly well...she decent at throwing, she hasn't caught one yet but she did give it a good effort...
The perfect baseball attire: A dress with Jeans...
And a few randoms from the week...

Can you see the look of trouble in Leah's face!
She was about to launch herself down the slide, she taunts me with that look...
"Come on dare me...I'l do it!"
 "MINE!"
 Mmmm sand...
